We believe that moving your domain to a new host that fits your business needs should be a smooth experience. That's why it's important to know what's needed before you transfer to make the process as easy as possible for you. In this blog, we’ll demystify the process.

Here are some reasons why you might consider transferring your domain

  • We offer lower renewal/hosting fees compared to other registrars.

  • Our billing process is super simple. There are no hidden costs, making it a great fit for small businesses and individuals alike.

  • With just one convenient login to ClientZone, you can manage your domain, email, and hosting.

  • You can email anytime and get help from our team whenever you need it.

  • We’ve been on this journey for a while, and along the way we’ve earned the trust of so many South Africans (a reputation we’re truly grateful for).

We've put together a simple guide that walks you through everything from the first checklist item all the way to the last click, making it straightforward to prepare and transfer your domain to its new online home without any hassle.

If you're now convinced, head on to our website and check out our packages along with the specs.

Once you’ve transferred your domain, here are the things to look out for to see if the transfer is completed

  • Please click on this link https://www.whois.com/ or this one https://tucowsdomains.com/provider-result/, which will allow you to check your new registrar.

  • Once the domain status changes to 'pending update', that’s when you will know that your domain has been moved to another company.

  • You’ll receive an email from the registrar confirming that your domain transfer has been finalised.

  • Your DNS settings, like your nameservers and other records, will automatically start pointing to the new server.

Once the DNS has been fully updated on our servers will be running. You'll be able to see your website load, as well as send and receive emails without any issues.
