Payment Verification: Why it matters and how to do it

We can agree it's not a great feeling to sign up for a service and then have to wait ages before you can actually start using it. That's why we want to tackle one of the common reasons for those delays. In this article, we're going to explore the topic of payment verification.
Why Is Payment Verification Important?
Payment verification adds an important layer of security. It protects your bank account from unauthorised transactions and ensures that debit order requests are processed only when you have given consent. Additionally, it verifies that your payment details are both valid and active, which is crucial for seamless order fulfillment.
How Can You Verify Your Payment Details?
Let’s go through the steps together.
Download your bank statement. Look for transactions associated with Afrihost. If you haven’t yet made a payment, you should find a R1 deposit from us, which includes your verification code.
- Locate the code in the transaction description. It should resemble this: AFRIHOST A21948172 D57HW2VC
Your Afrihost account number is A21948172
Your verification code is the string of characters that follows: D57HW2VC
In some instances, the code might appear before your account number.
- Submit the code in ClientZone.
Log in to your ClientZone.
Navigate to the Billing tab.
Enter your unique verification code in the provided field.
And that’s all there is to it! Once the code is entered, the system will automatically update, and your order will progress to the next stage.
What Happens After Verification?
As soon as your payment details are verified, our warehouse team will start preparing your order. The courier will then pick up your package, ensuring delivery within our standard timeframe of 7–10 working days.
Note: For SIM card orders (e.g. Fixed Wireless LTE or AirMobile), RICA verification is mandatory.
We hope this article has clarified the payment verification process and its significance. If you have suggestions for topics you’d like us to cover next, please share them in the comments; we are here for you and value your input.
